The Equelite Juan Carlos Ferrero Tennis Academy of Dubai is based at the very exclusive Emirates Golf Club also known as the Desert Miracle. The brainchild of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Club was built as an attraction to the growing corporate sector and burgeoning tourist industry. It currently hosts the Dubai Desert Classic which is now one of the European PGA Tour’s top events and is rated as one of the world’s top 100 golf courses outside of the USA by Golf Digest. The Emirates Golf Club is also the Regional Base for the Equelite Juan Carlos Ferrero Tennis Academy of Dubai.

Luis Miguel Reis is the Founder and Director of the Equelite Juan Carlos Ferrero Tennis Academy of Dubai who after years of traveling the globe as a player and later a coach arrived in the UAE in 2001 to work with the Emirates Davis Cup Team. Wanting to give something back to the UAE and its tennis community Luis Miguel decided to set up a unique High Performance Training Center in Dubai by co-branding with Spain’s Equelite Juan Carlos Ferrero Tennis Academy. Juan Carlos is a former ATP World no.1, Grand Slam Champion and multiple Davis Cup Winner with Spain. The choice was based on a mutual friendship and admiration with the staff and players of the Academy in Spain due to their humility, loyalty, dedication and hard work. These 4 virtues coupled with the fact that a number of world number one’s such as Juan Carlos Ferrero, Maria Sharapova , Justin Henin and many other ATP and WTA ranked players who frequented the Academy helped to cement its legacy as one of the world’s premier High Performance Centers . It is the same humility, loyalty, dedication and hard work that Luis Miguel and his team wish to pass onto players of all ages and levels at the Academy in Dubai. Spain is one country that continues to produce world champions and Grand Slam winners. At the Equelite Juan Carlos Ferrero Tennis Academy of Dubai we apply the highly successful Spanish model for developing players by following the same teaching methods so successfully applied by Juan Carlos and other Spanish players on the ATP and WTA circuit.

Our goal is to develop well rounded athletes who achieve success both on and off the court. We work with all levels of players from beginners to world ranked players giving each individual the personal care and attention required to achieve his or her goals. We will teach you much more than just the game of tennis. We build character, instill discipline and teach you to be responsible. We currently have students from more than 30 different nationalities in our programs helping you create friendships with people from around the world. To ensure the complete development of our players we focus on 4 aspects of the game namely technical, tactical, physical and mental. We will teach you to win more consistently by playing a more physical, aggressive, technical and smarter game. We will also teach you a style of play which is most beneficial to you based on your strengths and weaknesses so as to help you maximize your potential and achieve your goals.
